THE STRONGEST NATIONAL LEAGUE OF THE WORLD

The best football leagues in the world

Statistically Ranking the World's Top 10 Football Leagues:

Spanish Primera División is the Strongest National League of the World for the fourth time in a row
English Premier League get up to the second place again
The World ranking for the Strongest National Leagues has been determined annually by the IFFHS since 1991 on the basis of all national (championship, FA Cup) and (inter)continental (confederations & FIFA club competitions) results of the clubs. This principle has proved to be a very sensitive and an objective indicator.
The Spanish Primera División retains the first place thank to the extraordinary performance in the year, so in domestic competitions as continental cups, of their three best clubs, Real Madrid CF, Club Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona. It is the fourth time in a row since 2010. Previously the Spanish Primera División has been The Strongest National League of the World in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004.
The English Premier League returns at his ancient position in 2011, moving off Brazilian Série A. His five best clubs are classified in the Club World Ranking in the top-26. It made that the difference between Primera División and Premier League was very close: The best English clubs got a better performance for continental competitions (524 points) than Spanish (469 points), but strongly they failed in the FA Cup (72 points), meanwhile La Copa del Rey semifinals were played by the four strongest Spanish teams (144 points).
German Bundesliga was third again, thanks to FC Bayern München, brilliant winner of the Club World Ranking. The UEFA Champion’s League was decisive with two German clubs in the Final to give the third place. Best German clubs got 518 points from intercontinental competitions, but they got very poor performance for the domestic cup (84 points). It puts  very close German Bundesliga from Primera División and Premier League.
Russian Premier Liga was so close to move French Ligue 1, and it would have had important consequences in the Club World Ranking 2014, because Russia could get the top level for leagues.
The Best South American league was the Brazilian Série A, ahead Argentina Primera División. Brazil got down from the second place to fifth. In the other hand, Colombian Primera A jumps up to place 9 and it is the third strongest league in South America, ahead of Paraguay, Chile and Ecuador.
For other football continents, Mexican Primera División is the best for CONCACAF area, ahead of Costa Rica and USA. In Asia, Republic of Korea league was better closely than Saudi Arabia and Japan was third. In Africa, Northern Countries were the three best: Tunisia, Egypt (thanks to the great continental results), and Maroc. New Zeland, since Australia was in AFC, is the winner for OFC.

  • The sports website “Goal.com“, has recently published a list containing the top 10 richest football players in the World. They named it the “Goal Rich List 2014” and it’s basically the result of data provided by a vast group of analysts, who accounts for the a wide set of revenue and income flows reported by the top football players across the globe.
  • This year (2014), Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, became the richest footballer in the World, leaving Barcelona‘sLionel Messi behind him in second place, just as it had already happened in the recent FIFA Ballon d’Or 2013 event, that took place in Zurich last January.
With assets valued in roughly 148 million eurosRonaldo manages to top Messi for a very small margin of 2 million euros. This ranking also shows us how Ronaldo‘s influence in Real Madrid and Portugal over the past 12 months has increased significantly.
Cristiano Ronaldo made it to the number one of this top 10 richest football players list of 2014, naturally succeeding the former Manchester UnitedReal Madrid and LA Galaxy super star, David Beckham. Since this list can only contain footballers still in the active, Beckham is no longer an eligible candidate, since he retired from football at the end of the last season (2012-2013).
One of the players that has recently seen his income and overall wealth increased was Manchester United‘s Wayne Rooney, who saw his contract with the Old Trafford club being renewed for a £300.000 a week salary. Still, he’s currently ranked as the 4th richest football player in the World.
Barcelona‘s new signing Neymar, is most likely Brazil‘s most popular football  player in the World these days. After his highly controversial transfer and contract conditions/details scrutiny, he ended up being ranked in 6th by Goal.com‘s “Rich List of 2014“. Apparently,  they’ve already took into account that Neymar‘s father actually pocketed a 40% commission of the total amount of his transfer value.
Other poopular football players like Chelsea‘s Samuel Etoo (who basically got extremely rich during his 2 years adventure inRussia, while playing for Anzhi Makhachkala), Kaká (AC Milan), Ronaldinho (Atletico Mineiro), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG) orThierry Henry (New York Red Bulls), help completing this renowned ranking list.

                     Top 10 Football players 2013/2014

With the 2013-2014 season set to get underway in the top European leagues, there will be plenty of discussion about the best players in the world, with several notable players switching to new clubs.
The 2014 World Cup will also be a motivating factor for these players as they attempt to be in top form for next summer. Entering the tournament, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Spain are the frontrunners to win the title. A strong performance by individuals in Brazil 2014 will ensure their names will be remembered for decades to come.

The opportunity to shine in club football is quite different. Players are afforded more opportunities to produce during regular-season matches, Champions League, and in cup tournaments. While a player can thrive in the first half of the season, they may be fatigued by the strain of playing in a high number of matches.
Today’s top players mainly serve as attacking midfielders, while there appears to be a bit of a drought of superstar defensive players of the likes of Bobby Moore, Franz Beckenbauer, Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Ronald Koeman, Roberto Carlos, and Fabio Cannavaro.
We ranked where we expect the best players to finish by the end of the 2013-2014 season.

  • The Portuguese will present the prize to fans at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday but, after that, the trophy will form part of his collection in Madeira.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo has won the FIFA Ballon d'Or award for 2013, ending Lionel Messi's four-year run as the world's best player.
  • Ronaldo scored 69 goals for Real Madrid and Portugal last year, and his stunning hat trick against Sweden in a decisive World Cup playoff was perhaps the defining individual performance.
  • "There are no words to describe this moment," said Ronaldo, who was sobbing in tears after accepting the trophy with his young son, also named Cristiano, beside him on stage.
